Where do the attendees come from?
FICO World is a global event. FICO World 2010 hosted representatives from more than 40 countries. On average, 60% of attendees are from North America.
Are students allowed to attend?
Sorry, FICO World is a professional event and attendance is limited to qualified business and technology professionals over the age of 18.
How do I have my name removed from the mailing list?
To request the removal of your name from future FICO World communications (by e-mail or mail), send an e-mail to ficoworld@fico.com specifying your name, company name, and mailing or e-mail address.
REGISTRATION
We keep registration open right until the event starts. However, rates increase periodically and spaces do fill up quickly. We recommend you register early.
Can you send me an invoice for the conference registration? My accounts department needs it to process payment.
Yes, you can request an invoice during the registration process. Then you can make the payment by wire transfer, check or credit card. All payments are due 14 days prior to the event.
Can I buy a single day pass?
Yes, passes are available for each day to benefit attendees with limited time or those in proximity to New York. This year we have also included the option to buy 2 single day passes.
Can I change the day/pass type I am registered for?
Email trishara@fico.com with your request and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Is there a group discount policy?
Yes, FICO World 2011 offers group rates. Please visit the registration page for specific rates. If you have any doubt which package you should opt for, you can either contact your FICO rep or contact the Events team at ficoworld@fico.com.
What types of payment do you accept for the FICO World registration fees?
All registration fees for FICO World 2011 are in U.S. dollars. Three forms of payment are accepted: Credit/Debit cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa), wire transfers, and checks (via invoice). Payment is required 14 days prior to the conference.
Does the registration fee include air transportation and hotel accommodations?
All air transportation and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the attendee and are not included in conference fees.
Will I receive confirmation of my registration?
Yes. After you register online, you will receive an automated email confirming your registration.
Can I make changes to my FICO World 2011 registration after I submit it?
Yes, your email conference registration has a link you can click on to access your registration to make any edits.
Can I print my registration receipt?
Yes, upon submission you will have the opportunity to print it. You will also receive a confirmation email.
If I'm coming from outside the U.S., how can I get a formal invitation letter for my visa application?
You can request a visa letter during the registration process. Alternatively you may request a letter from the FICO World 2011 Registration Team by contacting us at ficoworld@fico.com. If you do not receive a visa in time to travel to the United States for FICO World 2011, your registration fees will be fully refunded.
After I register, if I am unable to attend FICO World 2011 can I send a substitute for myself?

I can't attend, but I would like to access the presentations from the conference. Is that possible?
Sorry, presentations are only available to those who are attending FICO World 2011.
What is the cancellation policy for FICO World 2011?
Registrations must be cancelled in writing prior to October 7, 2011 for the refund of any registration fees paid, less a standard administration fee of $75.00USD.
- On or before October 7, 2011: Full refund minus $75.00 USD administration fee
- October 8, 2011, or later: No refund
- Cancellations are not confirmed until received in writing from FICO.
Registrants who fail to attend the Conference are ineligible for a refund of any registration fees if they do not notify us by October 7, 2011.
To cancel please follow this process;
- The person that is no longer attending must cancel their registration utilizing the update link in their email Conference confirmation.
- They must also send an email stating their wish to cancel, to trishara@fico.com
- If payment was already sent we will refund any fees minus the administration fee (If cancelled prior to October 7, 2011)
- If you have booked a hotel room via the registration page, this will automatically be cancelled.

These FICO special rates ($399/$459) will also be offered 3 days prior and 3 days post FICO World 2011 upon availability (October 29 - November 7).
All rates above are quoted exclusive of applicable state and local taxes, which are currently 14.25%, as well as a $2.00 occupancy charge, and a Hotel unit fee equal to $1.50 per unit per day. All taxes are subject to change.
The Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers is a 100% Non-Smoking Hotel.
Please note: November in New York City is very busy and many hotels are already fully booked. Please ensure you reserve your discounted room before October 11th. While we will do everything we can to accommodate your room request after this date, we cannot guarantee that the special group rate will be available.

Will Wi-Fi be available?
Yes, all common conference areas will have Wi-Fi. There will also be internet access and print stations throughout the conference. Everyone staying in the FICO World hotel block (booking via the registration site) will have free Wi-Fi in their hotel room.

FICO World always hosts outstanding parties - what's in store for this year?
The FICO World 2011 Party will be held Wednesday, November 2nd, at the hip Tribeca Rooftop, a penthouse renovated from a Victorian printing building located in lower Manhattan. The sophisticated space houses a salvaged curved staircase from the demolished Palladium nightclub and spans three floors incorporating a 65-foot skylight & mezzanine balcony. The Tribeca Rooftop is well-known for its spectacular 360° views of New Jersey and the Manhattan skyline, taking in the Hudson River, fashionable SOHO and Chinatown. As always, the FICO World Party will be a night to remember.

Can I bring a guest to the FICO World Party?
If you didn't already confirm and pay for your guest during registration, please email ficoworld@fico.com to make arrangements. Guests are $100 for the FICO World Party. Please note: The guest party pass does not include access to any sessions, breakfasts or lunches, or any other activities that are reserved for attendees with a full conference pass. No one under 21 years of age will be admitted to the FICO World Party on a guest pass.

Can I pre-select the sessions I wish to attend and reserve a seat?
In early October, all registered attendees will be given the opportunity to build a personalized agenda. At that time, you can log back into your registration and select the sessions which interest you most. This will guarantee your seat in a particular session (per seating availability) and provide peace of mind knowing you have your calendar up-to-date. You can then add the sessions to Outlook and print off the agenda to bring on-site with you.
Will audio or videotapes of the sessions be available?
No, we do not normally release video or audio of our sessions. But you will be able to access the presentations after the conference has ended (unless restricted by a presenter).

How long are the sessions?
See the tracks section for detailed information, but most sessions last 60-90 minutes.
Are there translation services available at any of the sessions?
All presentations given in the sessions will be in English, with possible simultaneous translation into Spanish and Portuguese for some sessions if demand from those countries is high enough.
Will session presentations be available after the conference?
PDF versions of the presentations will be made available to all attendees after FICO World 2011 has finished. You will be notified via email when the presentations are available online.

Am I allowed to record any of the sessions?
All unauthorized photography and the recording or transmitting of audio or visual material, data or information is expressly prohibited.
Can I tweet during the event?
Yes, we encourage this. Use hashtag #ficoworld. But please notify the presenter you will be doing this and select a seat where you will not disturb others.

There is no ancillary space available at the hotel; however we do offer private consultation time with FICO experts.
